Part Exchange your Machine

Part exchange your machine or mower

Here you will find some advice on how to use your machine, utility vehicle or mower as part payment for a new or used machine or mower at Powercut. Powercut will also be happy to discuss the best option for you.

We have provided some answers to the most frequently asked questions:

Will Powercut take my machine or mower in part exchange?

Using your existing machine or mower as part payment for a new one is common practice at Powercut and this is a service which has been provided by Powercut for over 25 years. Powercut is an expert used garden machinery dealership and will, in almost every circumstance, be ready and willing to accept your existing machine or mower in this way.

Does my machine or mower have to be a John Deere?

Even though Powercut is John Deere's appointed dealers in South West Wales, Powercut will be well equipped to handle most makes and models of machines and mowers as they are accustomed to people who want to upgrade their machines from lesser brands! If Powercut does not intend to resell it themselves, they will still be able to value it competitively for you. Powercut are always keen to attract new customers and will try hard to be sure that it is made easy for you.

How do I know if I am getting the right price for my machine?

Your machine or mower will represent major investment for you. There are no fixed price lists for used machines or mowers however Powercut will use price guides which they will adjust up as well as down, for the condition of your machine, the mileage covered / hours of use, any accessories or fitted options and its age. Powercut will be pleased to explain how they arrive at this valuation and will want you to be satisfied enough to buy your new machine or mower from them.

What should I do to get the best price?

There are a number of basic steps you can take:

  • Obviously, give the machine a good clean throughout. Other garden machinery dealers are just the same as the rest of us and will be influenced by an attractive, well presented machine.
  • Have both sets of keys, operators manual, MOT (if any) and service records with you. A full service history, including any repair invoices will always help the resale value, especially if the machine or mower has been serviced by an official franchised dealer.
  • Make sure that everything works. Time is always important in business and the dealer will want to be able to resell your machine as quickly as possible. Powercut has to be sure the machine or mower meets very high standards, so the less we have to do the higher we will value your machine or mower.

Powercut provide a high level of customer care and whichever new machine you choose, you can be sure that everything will be done to make sure that your are completely satisfied.
